These beautiful hand woven baskets are made by local Japanese artisan “Akane”. Each basket takes between 8-12 hours to make and is made from paper !! The paper is recycled from domestic materials such as rice and wheat bags and milk cartons . It is water resistant to a certain extent and very strong. Over time the colours may fade so we recommend not to leave in direct sunlight .
